Rippin Riverside Skatepark
The Rippin Riverside skatepark is a skateboarders paradise. Designed and built by Team Pain in 2003, this 30,000 sq ft concrete jungle is a favorite among the Oviedo skateboarding crowd. Features include a kidney shaped pool with a 4 ft and 8 ft deep end extending to vert; a flow course, and a street course with a host of treats. Ollie, Kick flip and grind to your heart’s content. Skateboarding lessons are currently available on Saturday mornings.

Hagerty high school registration information
Oviedo, Fl, Jan. 25, 2007 - Hagerty high school registration information night was held this evening for 9th graders and new students entering Hagerty high school for the first time for the 2007 / 2008 school year. The evening started with an introduction by Hagerty Principal Sam Momary and counselors Mr. Cannon and Dr. Siskind. Information was presented about changes to the State requirements for the graduating class of 2011, including the newly required major selection, as well as changes to the required credits necessary to graduate, and college scholarship information. After the hour long presentation, parents and students ventured off to various locations throughout the campus for more detailed information.
The old gym was filled with teachers and coaches available to discuss different subjects covering drafting, foreign language, computer programming, football, chorus and more. In all, the staff was very informative and helpful, which helps in making the transition from middle school to high school a little less stressful on the parents and kids as well.
The media center featured the counselors providing information about technical training, college entrance requirements and scholarships available through the Brightfutures scholarship program. The cafeteria was host to Ms. Bryce and Ms. Lynch discussing extracurricular activities offered at Hagerty high school and finally the auditorium was location for information regarding advanced placement, technical prep courses and the gifted program.
The evening was very informative and a great opportunity to educate the students and parents about the great education opportunities in store for them at Hagerty high school. Go Huskies!!!

Rec Rock Climbing Wall
Bored? Looking for something to do? Check out one of the many fun things that the City of Oviedo has to offer. The City has constructed a 40 foot rock climbing wall located at the Oviedo Gymnasium and Aquatic Center. If you’re bored of the same old workout routine, head on down to Rec Rock and give it a try. It is open to anyone age 6 years old and older. The Gymnasium and Aquatic Center is located at 148 Oviedo Boulevard.

Oviedo Boulevard opens for traffic.
Oviedo Blvd, formerly known as Division Street, has opened for traffic. This new roadway connects CR 419 and Mitchell Hammock and enables residents to avoid traffic around the City’s worst traffic bottlenecks at Mitchell Hammock & Lockwood and also in the downtown area. The new road passes through the area that will become Oviedo on the Park, consisting of homes, shopping, dining and businesses. This road is a much needed and welcome addition to the community.
